Our innovation reduces transmission of disease - saving lives
Join us in responding to the global crisis of Zika, dengue fever and other mosquito-borne diseases by donating now.
We have already run successful field trials of our method and are now rapidly expanding our international efforts to combat disease.
Our innovative method uses naturally occurring bacteria - called Wolbachia - that reduce the ability of mosquitoes to transmit harmful human viruses such as dengue, chikungunya, and Zika. This approach is safe, sustainable, and has been recommended as a control method by the World Health Organization.
The Eliminate Dengue Program operates as a non-profit research collaboration led from the Institute of Vector-borne Disease at Monash University in Australia.
Through your gift, you are joining other philanthropists, governments and communities and helping us develop a low-cost, sustainable method to stop the transmission of disease.
Your donation can enable:
||25 mosquito traps, needed to monitor the number of mosquitoes with Wolbachia in a release site
||40 mosquito cages, which is enough to produce all the mosquitoes required for releases across a city
||Do-it-yourself mosquito release containers for an entire neighbourhood to release mosquitoes with Wolbachia
||A medically-trained staff member to work in a fever clinic for 3 months to give back to a community
||Training for 6 members of a local team to enhance their capacity to implement our Wolbachia method
||You contribute to our philanthropy fund helping disease proof communities
